The Space

Located in a beautiful period building in Alfama that combines modern luxuries with gorgeous original features, this stunningly renovated apartment is the ideal place to stay in the old town of Lisbon. Picture yourself arriving and settling into this home, where you can relax in comfort and style in the living room. Take the reight off your feet and recline on the sofa as you watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. In the spacious and light kitchen, you'll find everything you need to prepare a delicious meal, perhaps inspired by the incredible Portuguese cuisine on offer all around the city. You can gather with friends around the glass-topped dining table to enjoy your culinary creation.

The master bedroom boasts stylish decor, with whitewashed walls, shuttered windows and pieces of bright red furniture that adds a splash of colour to the room. The bed itself is a comfortable double, with a thick, high-quality mattress and luxury linen. In the second bedroom, you'll find two single beds, both topped with colourful throws and cushions. In the bathroom, you'll find a toilet, washbasin and a large walk-in shower that is lined with fun bright orange tiles. With the iconic Castelo de Sao Jorge just a 10-minute walk away, you'll be living right in the heart of the old part of the city.


You have access to the entire apartment, which is cleaned professionally with fresh luxury linens and is prepared for each new visitor. 

We'll arrange for a welcome person to meet you at the property to hand over the keys and let you into the home. Our standard check-in time is from 3pm.

This home sits on the 2nd floor of a modern building and can be accessed by walking up two flights of stairs from street level.

Alfama is one of Lisbon’s oldest neighborhoods and home to a variety of amazing views, tourist attractions and hidden treasures. Situated on the slopes between the São Jorge Castle and the Tejo River, the narrow, cobbled winding streets and odd collection of red terracotta rooftops gives the area a timeless and romantic atmosphere. One thing that no trip to Alfama is complete without is a ride on the iconic Number 28 tram. Now as much a time capsule or museum piece as they are a method of transport, a ride on one only costs €2.90. If you want to enjoy a view over the city, then the terrace of the Miradouro de Santa Luzia offers some of the best vistas in the city. For history lovers, the São Jorge Castle and the ruins of the city’s ancient Roman amphitheatre are must-sees.

For a place to grab a bite to eat or a drink, try Portas Do Sol with its great cocktail list and amazing views over the city and the river. ZamBeZe mixes traditional Portuguese cuisine with African influences and Chapitô à Mesa is a fun evening out as the restaurant is located within a building with a circus school. For a late night drinking spot with great atmosphere and live music, try Santiago Alquimista.

Our check-in time is preferred from 3PM onwards, however, we understand that sometimes travel needs to be flexible. After booking, please enquire about an earlier check-in with our team – we will always facilitate bag drops for early arrivals.


  • The home is on the second floor of the building and there is no elevator.
  • City tax and ID: A government-mandated city tax of €2 per person per day (except for children under 12 years), will be charged to you at check-in. Also, your govt ID will be collected at check-in for submission to the authorities as required by local laws. Please note, city tax is only applicable for a maximum of 7 days continuous. We do not accept cash.


  • The house is in a shared building. Please be respectful to the neighbours - no noise after 10PM.

Cancellation Policy

For stays up to 27 nights, the cancellation policy is:

  • 100% refund – If canceled at least 30 days prior to check-in date and within 48 hours of receiving booking confirmation
  • 50% refund – if canceled 7 or more days prior to check-in date
  • 0% refund – if canceled within 7 days of check-in date

For stays over 27 nights the cancellation terms might depend on the specific agreement with the host, on the length of the requested stay, and on city local regulations.
