My place is totally new and fully equipped. There are one bedroom with a double bed, one living room with a double sofa-bed and the kitchen area, and one comfortable bathroom. It is located in a very typical roman street and it is just 5 minutes walking from the Colosseum and the San Giovanni Basilica. The building is very beautiful and the flat is on the 4th floor, reachable with the elevator. It is quiet and sunny. Ideal for spending a few days in the Eternal City just walking around.

The space

Our brand new flat is just what you need for your break in Rome: colorful, cosy, fully equipped, well located and... just great! We are very proud of it! The rooms have all you can need, a nice and big wardrobe, air conditioners, a double bed and a comfy sofa bed, very easy to make. There is a little space also to dine and the kitchen has everything, from the microwave to the dishwasher... and a washing machine too. We are sure that if you come for holiday or for work you will find our flat just right for you.

The beautiful and historic Colosseo area in central Rome centers around the stunning Flavian amphitheatre known as the Colosseum; a stunning nearly 2000 year old relic of the Ancient Roman Empire. Next to the Colosseum is the iconic Palatine Hill, with some of the largest concentration of surviving ancient Roman buildings anywhere in the world such as the Arch of Titus, the Arch of Constantine and the Roman Forum. As well as being home to unparalleled treasure of the past, the area around the Colosseum, in particular Celio to the south, is a living, breathing, working part of the modern city. A stroll around the neighborhood will allow you to see Rome as it is today, with small shops, places of work, parks (especially the beautiful Villa Celimontana) and restaurants. Celio is also one for Rome’s most gay-friendly neighborhoods with clubs and bars to cater to the LGBT crowd.

If you’re looking for a bite to eat in the Colosseo area, head to Li Rioni, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the famous amphitheatre and serves delicious thin Roman style pizzas with a variety of toppings, cooked in a traditional stone oven. Alternatively, for traditional Italian meat, pasta or seafood cuisine, try i Clementini, where the menu is full of quality dishes, cooked with fresh ingredients. The seared tuna steak with pistachio and cherry tomatoes is a particular recommendation. The best recommendation is to stay away from the tourist trap restaurants right next to the Colosseum itself and instead head for a small trattoria a few streets away for better service and quality of food. For a quick light lunch while you’re out and about seeing the sights, Pizzería di Sforza Piero is only a few minutes walk away from the Colosseum and does incredible pizza by the slice for a very reasonable price.

For a drink in the evening, try the rooftop bar, La Terrazza on top of the Hotel Capo. Just a few minute’s walk from the famous arena, if you are lucky enough to get a table at sunset, you can admire silhouette of Rome’s most famous landmark with a glass of wine. Brewdog, the highly regarded Scottish craft beer company have recently opened their first bar in Rome and whilst a glass of wine may be more traditional, there’s no beating that chance to enjoy a Brewdog beer just 100m from the Colosseum.
