The Space 

If there is a space in Lisbon that reflects the true Portuguese lifestyle, it is arguably this renovated apartment in the historic area of Bica. Simply open the flat door and be amazed at the large and uniquely decorated living room. The wooden couch covered with comfortable white pillows is ideal to enjoy this staggering area of the house. It is housed in a very cosy compartment that is decorated with typical Portuguese handcraft. The elegant rug and the brand new laminated floor also adds a touch of class to the area. So simply sit back; turn on the flat-screen TV and enjoy watching great movies! Fancy delicious food? Why not simply head to the kitchen and make use of the brand new microwave? All you need is to insert your desired food and hit start. Could hardly be faster. There is also a balcony a little bit further down the kitchen. Simply open the door; get some fresh air and enjoy the iconic Lisbon atmosphere!

Head back to the living area and above the couch, you will find a mezzanine with double bed. This double bed is just great for the perfect night's sleep as not only it is large and comfortable but it is also equipped with fresh linen and fluffy pillows. There is also a spacious closet just below, where you can certainly store your favourite clothes. The bathroom, just before the balcony, is simple but at the same time top-quality. Freshly tiled and a with modern handheld shower, you can certainly take a relaxing wash after an exploring day at the city or before setting out to uncover the exciting Lisbon nightlife! 

Access

You have access to the entire apartment, which is cleaned professionally with fresh luxury linens and is prepared for each new visitor. 

We'll arrange for a welcome person to meet you at the property to hand over the keys and let you into the home. Our standard check-in time is from 3pm.

Neighbourhood

Nestled right on the banks of the Tejo, Santos is becoming known as one of Lisbon’s newest cool areas full of young hipsters and bohemian artists. During a trip around the neighbourhood, you can enjoy the view out over the Tejo and admire the 25 de Abril Bridge; the stunning suspension bridge that crosses the river with a similar design and color to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. For a little high culture, head to the Basilica da Estrela which is considered one of the most beautiful baroque churches in the world. For a little peace and quiet, take a stroll through Tapada das Necessidades; the park between the Prazeres Cemetery and the Tejo waterline which features an array of wildlife and colorful abandoned buildings. Take a picnic to complete the trip. Finally, for something a little more unusual, you can enjoy an hour or two in the Puppet Museum, learning about the history of puppetry and seeing masks from around the world.

If you’re looking for a delicious bite to eat, then the Santos neighborhood will not disappoint. Hamburgueria do Bairro is well known as the best hamburger joint in Lisbon with 11 flavours of burger, including a tofu option for vegetarians. Meanwhile, A Travessa combines Portuguese and Belgian cuisine in a bohemian and relaxed environment Finally, Ilhas Gregas offers an authentic Greek cuisine in the heart of Lisbon. For an evening drink, try Matiz Pombalina for classic cocktails in an 18th-century building where you can tap along to the rhythms of jazz and soul. You can enjoy reasonably priced drinks and mix with the local Lisbon bohemian crowd at Art Bar, or alternatively let your hair down and enjoy a wild night at Coyote Ugly, a raucous late-night bar named after the original New York joint and the film it inspired.

Check-in

Our check-in time is preferred from 3PM onwards, however, we understand that sometimes travel needs to be flexible. After booking, please enquire about an earlier check-in with our team – we will always facilitate bag drops for early arrivals.

Access

  • This home sits on the second floor of the building and can easily be accessed by taking the stairs up two flights at street level.
  • City tax and ID: A government-mandated city tax of €2 per person per day (except for children under 12 years), will be charged to you at check-in. Also, your govt ID will be collected at check-in for submission to the authorities as required by local laws. Please note, city tax is only applicable for a maximum of 7 days continuous. We do not accept cash.

Noise

  • The home is in a shared residential building. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.

Cancellation Policy

For stays up to 27 nights, the cancellation policy is:

  • 100% refund – If canceled at least 30 days prior to check-in date and within 48 hours of receiving booking confirmation
  • 50% refund – if canceled 7 or more days prior to check-in date
  • 0% refund – if canceled within 7 days of check-in date

For stays over 27 nights the cancellation terms might depend on the specific agreement with the host, on the length of the requested stay, and on city local regulations.
