The Space

With one foot in the city and other on the beach, you'll love this apartment with one bedroom in Costa da Caparica. The home includes wireless internet, with a cosy living room and a fully-equipped kitchen. The enclosed balcony is perfect to enjoy the Mediterranean weather all year long while having dinner. The bedroom is a comfortable space for you to drift off to sleep in after a long day of enjoying the beach or heading into the city. Freshen up with a shower in the modern and beautifully appointed bathroom. The dark blue tiles that cover the floor are a reminder of the traditional tiling that dominated many Portuguese homes.

Access

You have access to the entire apartment, which is cleaned professionally with fresh luxury linens and is prepared for each new visitor. 

We'll arrange for a welcome person to meet you at the property to hand over the keys and let you into the home. Our standard check-in time is from 3pm.

This home sits several floors up in the building and can be accessed by taking the elevator from street level.

Neighbourhood

Located to the south of the centre of Lisbon, over the mouth of the River Tagus and looking westwards out towards the Atlantic Ocean, Caparica is a traditional Portuguese seaside neighborhood, with an abundance of seafood restaurants and street fish stalls, as well as cafes and bars for the influx of Portuguese tourists who head to the area in the summer months to escape the city center. For a dose of culture and history, you can admire the 16th-Century Capuchin monastery that sits imposingly on the high cliffs over the seaside. There is a characteristic charm to the traditional feel of Caparica, where colorful small fishing boats still dot the shoreline and the old-fashioned industry still works alongside the more modern tourist boom.

When it comes to finding a place to eat, seafood really is the order of the day in this working fishing community. Try O Mercado or Sentido do Mar for good quality fish dishes at a reasonable price. For something a little sweeter, head to the Padaria da Praia bakery to pick up a traditional Lisboan custard tart. For a light bite at lunchtime, try Pita Gourmet where you can enjoy a Greek wrap for a very reasonable price, or alternatively head to A Merendeira for a wood-fired oven-baked sandwiches with chorizo, beef or cod. If you’re looking for an evening drink, there are plenty of options along the seafront as well as the streets heading back into Caparica. Try Warm-Up Bar or Waikiki for good cocktails, a friendly atmosphere and service late into the night.

Our check-in time is preferred from 3PM onwards, however, we understand that sometimes travel needs to be flexible. After booking, please enquire about an earlier check-in with our team – we will always facilitate bag drops for early arrivals.

Noise

  • The house is in a shared building. Please be respectful to the neighbours - no noise after 10PM.

Cancellation Policy

For stays up to 27 nights, the cancellation policy is:

  • 100% refund – If canceled at least 30 days prior to check-in date and within 48 hours of receiving booking confirmation
  • 50% refund – if canceled 7 or more days prior to check-in date
  • 0% refund – if canceled within 7 days of check-in date

For stays over 27 nights the cancellation terms might depend on the specific agreement with the host, on the length of the requested stay, and on city local regulations.
