Our flat is in a characterful 150 year old Victorian house in a conservation area. The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice that we have a photo of the house taken 100 years ago on the wall in the lounge... It is the same building, but a very different London! We love the victorian architecture, high ceilings and large sash windows; our favourite is the curved window in the lounge. The flat is located in Islington which is a sought after area to live in for families and young professionals alike.

The space

Welcome to my home and welcome to this amazing city! This is a beautifully renovated 2 bedroom 2 bathroom flat. The whole flat has just been refurbished to a very high standard; with a new kitchen, bathroom, shower-room and refurbished draft-free sash windows. But don't take my word for it... let me walk you through it a little more! The apartment has a really airy and colourful living room which has a real designer feel to it. The bright yellow in here will certainly cheer you up! There is a comfy sofa and additional armchairs for guests to use where you can put your feet up in the evenings, kick back and relax! The sofa here converts to a comfy king-sized sofa bed which will comfortably sleep another 2 people. Fancy an evening off? Then sit back, relax and turn on the flat screen TV. There are plenty of channels for you to enjoy. Within the open-plan living space there is also a good sized dining area, which is the perfect spot to enjoy some local delicacies. Top tip, try out nearby Camden food market at Camden lock - you will be sure to take home some edible goodies from here! If cooking a gourmet meal at home is more your thing, then rest assured the kitchen will have everything you need in it such as all the basic condiments, and as an added extra we make sure that there is also always plenty of tea, coffee and sugar so that you can make yourself a traditional British cuppa in the morning! There are also all the mod-cons such as toaster, kettle, microwave and dishwasher that you might expect. We really want to ensure that you have a comfortable stay here in London! There are two double bedrooms in the house. Both bedrooms are spacious with colourful homely touches. There is also plenty of storage space for guests to store all their belongings. Finally, the property also benefits from 2 bathrooms. Both the bathroom and shower-room have underfloor heating and every radiator can be controlled independently so that never too cold or too hot for any guest. There is also a bath for guests to use. The bathrooms will always come stocked with plenty of white fluffy towels and all the essential toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel and hand soap that you need to ensure that you have a comfortable stay in London. The flat also comes with an iron and ironing board, so that you can look fresh for exploring the city or for any business meetings! A baby cot and high chair can be provided upon request.

Neighbourhood

Islington is a beautiful area which has a peaceful feel, and is one of the most sought after neighbourhoods in London. Islington itself has lots of its own bars and restaurants - our favourite is Sundays which is a brunch restaurant right next to door us. If you prefer a chain restaurant, then try out the Breakfast Club, a strong favourite of the locals! However, Islington is also lucky enough to have the high street of Upper Street in Angel right on its doorstep. Make sure that you make the fifteen minute walk to Angel and take a walk along the main street - called Upper Street. Here, you will find a HUGE variety of different cafes, bars, restaurants, salons and shops. If pubs are your thing, or if you're looking for a quintessential English experience, then try out The Glassworks or The Angel. These bars are always so popular in the evenings and at the weekends - and for a good reason! These are some of the most reasonably priced pubs in London. If you don't feel like walking then try out The Albion, The Crown, The Hemingford Arms, which are opposite the flat! :) If you feel like escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and are searching for some green space to chillax in, then Thornhill Sqaure as a small, local green space which is nice for a picnic and has a small play area for children. I would recommend this as the closest (and nicest) green space. Also Islington Green is 1.3 miles away. Highbury fields are also close by (0.7m) away so this would also be a good option! The apartment is your own. Cleaned professionally with fresh luxury linens, it's prepared for each new visitor.

Notes

My place is located within a traditional Victorian building on the first floor. Like most old and traditional London properties, there is no lift. Although being on the first floor means you can give your legs a nice stretch, my place may be unsuitable for people with mobility issues.

Check-in

Our check-in time is preferred from 3PM onwards, however, we understand that sometimes travel needs to be flexible. After booking, please enquire about an earlier check-in with our team – we will always facilitate bag drops for early arrivals.

  • The flat is on the first floor (one flight of stairs up) and like most London homes there is no lift.

  • The flat is in a residential area with a nice brunch cafe underneath

Cancellation Policy

For stays up to 27 nights, the cancellation policy is:

  • 100% refund – If canceled at least 30 days prior to check-in date and within 48 hours of receiving booking confirmation
  • 50% refund – if canceled 7 or more days prior to check-in date
  • 0% refund – if canceled within 7 days of check-in date

For stays over 27 nights the cancellation terms might depend on the specific agreement with the host, on the length of the requested stay, and on city local regulations.
