Welcome to our beautiful 4 bed family home in the heart of lovely Clapham. Our home is on a lovely quiet leafy street only 8 mins walk from Clapham Common Station, which has great transport links! Clapham Common is on our doorstep where you can enjoy an array of local restaurants& bars within walking distance. Our home is fully equipped w/ everything you need for a holiday. It's spread across a few floors-you can see the famous Big Ben from the top floor window! We look forward to welcoming you.

The space

Looking for a peaceful stay in London? Something local and quaint yet close to the centre? Well then your search is over! Our lovely home in Clapham is the perfect base for groups or families to make it their home. Our home is only a 8 minute walk from Clapham Common station. This is on the Northern line which will take you to Waterloo in under 20 mins and Charing Cross (for Trafalgar Square, National Gallery) in 30 mins! Clapham itself is a firm favourite of young professional families because of its safe and leafy streets, the large parks, lots of quirky little restaurants and great transport links to the City of London. You will really feel like a local here :) Now coming back to the house itself - spread across multiple floors (great for privacy!), our house can easily accommodate 8 people. It is large, spacious and airy which is a boon in an expensive city like London. The front door leads to a large double living area with a wooden floor and a separate study leading to the 70 ft garden. On the lower ground floor we have a spacious kitchen with a separate laundry area. The kitchen and study opens onto a long, light filled garden perfect for outdoor dining or a BBQ. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for quick meals. We highly recommend making use of the garden on a sunny day for an al fresco lunch! Upstairs, there are 4 double bedrooms and two modern bathrooms. You have views of Big Ben, the London Eye and other London attractions from the top bedroom. We use a professional company to provide us clean 100% cotton linens. Trust us, you will feel like you are sinking into a hotel bed when you go to bed at Chez Cotton's. The house also comes with full laundry facilities such as washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. We also have a dishwasher, kettle and hair dryer for the ladies. We ensure that there is plenty of cupboard space for your clothing and possessions. Baby cot and high chair can be provided upon prior request.

Neighbourhood

Clapham is an affluent district in south-west London with a stunning common (read large, open park) at its heart and a lively, sociable population that combine to make it one of the most attractive and trendiest places to live in London. Our house is in Clapham Old Town which is historic and has a village like atmosphere. There are fantastic delis, restaurants, butchers and shops within a 3 minute walk of our home. We are very close to Clapham Common, which is an extensive green park lovely for walking, running or cycling. It features a pond and is overlooked by Victorian mansions. Some of London's best new restaurants are now in Clapham. Try out The Manor which does well priced tasting menu and classic British food with a twist. The Diary which is a sister restaurant has a huge fan following in London and is not to be missed. Those looking for fine dine, should head to Chez Bruce, a one Michelin star restaurant 10 mins away by cab. Book well ahead as it is impossible to score a table there.

The house is your own. Cleaned professionally with fresh luxury linens, it's prepared for each new visitor.

Notes

Ours is a house and there are stairs inside as the bedrooms are located on the upper floor. Sadly we don't have any baby gates so parents will need to watch their kids. The home may not be appropriate for those who have mobility issues.

Check-in

Our check-in time is preferred from 3PM onwards, however, we understand that sometimes travel needs to be flexible. After booking, please enquire about an earlier check-in with our team – we will always facilitate bag drops for early arrivals.

Access

  • The entrance to the home is on the ground floor, which can be accessed by walking up 6 steps from street level.
  • The home is split over three floors with stairs between each level.

Amenities

  • There is WiFi throughout the home.

Noise

  • The home is on a residential street. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.

Cancellation Policy

For stays up to 27 nights, the cancellation policy is:

  • 100% refund – If canceled at least 30 days prior to check-in date and within 48 hours of receiving booking confirmation
  • 50% refund – if canceled 7 or more days prior to check-in date
  • 0% refund – if canceled within 7 days of check-in date

For stays over 27 nights the cancellation terms might depend on the specific agreement with the host, on the length of the requested stay, and on city local regulations.
